The owners of Harpos Concert Theatre on Detroit's east side issued a public apology on Monday after a metal show with alleged ties to neo-Nazis was booked at the venue over the weekend.

DETROIT - The owners of a Michigan concert venue are apologizing for booking a concert with bands which have alleged neo Nazi and white supremacy ties. The concert took place at Harpos Concert Theatre in Detroit on Saturday, Jan. 25 before the venue’s owners cancelled it in the middle of the show.

So many bands have performed at Harpos, historically one of the most popular concert venues in Detroit. However, venue owner Ruzvelt Stevanovski says he didn’t know Saturday night’s concert featured bands with a neo-Nazi twist.

Owners of the venue say they understand the “hate and outrage” they received and are taking “full responsibility.”

It was a chilling moment for a concert venue in Detroit when a band with neo-Nazi themes played there for the crowd. So many bands have performed at Harpos, historically one of the most popular concert venues in Detroit.

Harpos Concert Theatre has been hosting concerts on Detroit’s east side for decades, however, a show this past weekend was met with so much scrutiny that Detroit police responded to threats made against the event.
