Indian officials have zeroed in on two of Trump’s top priorities — the economy and immigration — hoping to make small concessions that yield big dividends.

Indian prime minister Narendra Modi is set to be one of the first foreign leaders to visit new American president Donald Trump. The two leaders had a phone call on Monday where they underscored their commitment to a “mutually beneficial and trusted partnership”,

President Trump announced that India would take suitable action regarding the repatriation of illegal immigrants after his conversation with PM Modi. He also mentioned that Modi is expected to visit the US in February.
