Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a significant visit to Gujarat, where he reviewed the progress of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor and launched development projects worth over ₹9,700 crore in the tribal Narmada district.

India and Bhutan expanded their energy ties on Tuesday during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Himalayan nation where he extended a 40 billion rupee ($455 million) line of credit and inaugurated a hydroelectric power project.

The Home Minister emphasised that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is moving forward with zero tolerance towards terrorism and a commitment to rural empowerment and national security.

He played a decisive role in establishing democratic systems in Bhutan and establishing peace in border areas, Modi said.
