MIAMI — A person died after a hit-and-run on Interstate 95 on Saturday and Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver involved. FHP responded to the call around 4 a.m. on southbound I-95 just south of NW 79th Street to a two-vehicle crash.

The collision occurred around 4:10 a.m. on the southbound lanes of I-95, just south of NW 79th Street. A dark blue BMW sedan, traveling in the outside lane, rear-ended a gold Nissan sedan. Both vehicles continued for several hundred feet before coming to a stop in the outside lanes, FHP Lt Alex Camacho said.

A driver is on the run after crashing into another vehicle early Saturday on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County, killing the other driver inside, authorities said.
