The Mets made their first blockbuster trade of the offseason on Sunday when they sent outfielder Brandon Nimmo to the Texas Rangers in exchange for All-Star infielder Marcus Semien.

Semien is 35, but he’s still playing defense at a high level, and he’s a three-time All Star who joined the Rangers in 2022 and won a World Series with the club the following year.
