President Donald Trump is visiting Alligator Alcatraz, the temporary migrant detention center in Florida's Everglades, on July 1.

Environmental groups are pushing back against a new detention center built in the Florida Everglades. The protected and sensitive wetlands are home to unique and endangered species, including the Florida panther.

The groups sued federal, state and Miami-Dade County officials over the facility, which could start housing migrants next week.
