JCPenney has sold 119 stores to an affiliate of Onyx Partners. It's unclear thus far what this will mean for those sites.

JCPenney lists 21 operating stores in Pennsylvania, including the three sold locations. Of those, there are two JCPenney locations in Pittsburgh, and one each in Erie, Lancaster, Scranton and Wilkes Barre. JCPenney does not have a location in Philadelphia, according the JCPenney location finder tool.
