Milwaukee Brewers rookie starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski has been added to the National League All-Star team, setting the record for fewest games played (five) before a first All-Star Game selection.

Rays right-hander Drew Rasmussen, a first-time All-Star, is replacing Angels left-hander Yusei Kikuchi, who is scheduled to start Saturday night at Arizona. Rasmussen is 7-5 with a 2.82 ERA in 18 starts.

Misiorowski was named as an injury replacement to the Midsummer Classic, and it's a historic selection. No pitcher has ever made the game with so few innings in an MLB career, per ESPN. It makes sense that players would generally need to have a stronger first half to get in.
