Green Day was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, a celebration that felt a little strange for the punk trio. Actor Ryan Reynolds, producer Rob Cavallo, former MTV host and host of The Power Hour Matt Pinfield and rapper Flavor Flav were among the celebrities on hand to recognize the band.

Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool have been together since 1986, forming the punk band Green Day in Berkeley.

However, when it came time for Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool’s star to actually be unveiled by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce outside of Amoeba Music, Flavor Flav crashed the lectern, shouting something unintelligible into the mic before raising his fists in celebration.
