Illinois State Police are investigating what happened before a 35-year-old man died in a crash on the Edens Expressway earlier this week.

According to Illinois State Police, the accident occurred at around 7:10 a.m., in the outbound lanes, just north of the Winnetka Road. Troopers arrived at the scene and found a car had hit a concrete barrier.
