After passing the $500 million mark globally on Friday, Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King continued its reign despite tough competition. The big-budget film had a slow start at the box office, but clawed its way back in subsequent weeks.

The Lion King has roared past the $500 million at the global box office. The film is now the ninth global release of 2024 and has earned $539.7 million till now which includes $350.9 million from the international box office.

If that's the case for Mufasa: The Lion King, it should be available to buy digitally from mid-to-late February 2025. You won't be able to rent it initially, but should be able to from the time it arrives on Disney+. While we wait for its streaming and digital release, Mufasa: The Lion King is only available to watch in cinemas.

Mufasa: The Lion King is quite a divisive movie, and one problem the film has is how it doesn't utilize some of its returning cast members very well.
