The Montreal Canadiens have put goaltender Cayden Primeau on waivers for the purpose of loaning him to the AHL’s Laval Rocket, the team announced Saturday.

The Montreal Canadiens appear to have completely lost faith in one of their goaltenders, this despite a recent outburst from Habs head coach Martin St. Louis when he was asked about that very subject.

The Montreal Canadiens have announced they have put goaltender Cayden Primeau on waivers. It’s an expected move following the decision to call-up Jakub Dobes from the team’s AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket.

While the Canadiens are carrying three goalies following Friday’s recall of Jakub Dobes, that won’t be the case long.
