LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKRC) - A man who was being sought in a shooting involving an Indiana deputy was killed during a shootout in Kentucky. According to WLKY, a manhunt for 33-year-old Austin Schepers ended after he was reportedly killed in a shootout in Louisville.

Indiana State Police said Austin Schepers, 33, shot Orange County Sheriff's Deputy Zach Andry during a traffic stop on Highway 150 near West Baden on Friday at 12:30 a.m.

Indiana State Police are trying to locate Austin Schepers. He is described as a 33-year-old man who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a tattoo of a cross under his left eye and multiple tattoos around his next.

An Indiana deputy was shot and critically wounded while responding to a call in Orange County early Friday, and the suspect remains on the run.
