Johni Broome suffered a "significant sprain" of his left ankle in No. 2 Auburn's win over South Carolina on Saturday, and Tigers coach Bruce Pearl said his team's leading scorer will have an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.

Auburn’s Johni Broome will not return in Saturday’s game against South Carolina. Broome went down with an ankle injury at the start of the second half. The Preseason All-American’s left foot came down on a teammates leg while grabbing a rebound in traffic. Broome was helped off the court and could not put any weight on his left ankle.
