In Kalen DeBoer’s first season at Alabama, he brought in 14 transfers. Most of which were starters or key contributors for the Crimson Tide in 2024. Since the conclusion of the 2024 season, DeBoer and the Crimson Tide have landed seven transfers.

After one season with Alabama football, defensive back King Mack is heading back where he came from. Mack, who entered the transfer portal after the 2024 season, announced Sunday that he is returning to Penn State. Mack began his college career with the Nittany Lions, spending one season in State College before giving Tuscaloosa a try.

A few pieces are locked in with LT Overton, Justin Jefferson, Domani Jackson and Deontae Lawson each returning for the 2025 season. A few more have been added through the NCAA transfer portal, pieces like Texas A&M guard Kam Dewberry and Colorado linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green, who are expected to be starters upon arrival.

There will be some changes made within the Alabama Crimson Tide football program. Both the offense and defense will undergo changes and look different in 2025.

South Alabama on Sunday picked up a transfer portal commitment from Miller McCrumby, a former Arkansas State tight end. McCrumby (6-foot-4, 238 pounds) caught 26 passes for 217 yards in 27 games the last three seasons at Arkansas State. A native of Mount Pleasant, Texas, he has one year of eligibility remaining.

After only one season with the program, Alabama Crimson Tide freshman linebacker Sterling Dixon has reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal. Dixon is the second member of Alabama’s inside linebacker room to enter the transfer portal this offseason, joining Jeremiah Alexander.

Alabama transfer linebacker Justin Okoronkwo signed with South Carolina, joining Florida State linebacker Shawn Murphy as the second transfer linebacker to commit to the Gamecocks this offseason. South Carolina announced his signing shortly after his commitment announcement.

South Alabama on Saturday added a transfer portal commitment from former South Carolina offensive lineman Ni Mansell. Mansell (6-foot-3, 300 pounds) played in two games for the Gamecocks this past season after redshirting in 2023 due to injury and has one season of eligibility remaining.
