Three Austin police officers were injured and three people were arrested during the "No Kings" protest Saturday at the Texas Capitol, according to a city news release citing preliminary data.

Protests are planned for 1,800 communities nationwide on June 14, including more than 200 in California, the same day President Donald Trump holds a military parade in Washington, D.C.

The event featured thousands of soldiers, hundreds of vehicles and dozens of military aircraft and is estimated to have cost tens of millions of dollars.

Millions of people turned out for "No Kings" protests nationwide on Saturday that were largely peaceful though there were some arrests and police had to disperse unruly crowds, including in Georgia and Los Angeles.

Large crowds across the country have gathered to protest the Trump administration — in major cities like Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York and Chicago, as well as in smaller, rural communities.
